Driver's Education

A.L. Brown Student Driver's Education Info

Driver’s Education is optional and costs $65
Students must complete the online Canvas course with an 80% or higher average
AI tools may not be used to complete coursework
After completing the online course, students must complete an eye check and payment process
Students will then complete 6 hours of driving instruction with an instructor
Upon successful completion, students will receive the documents needed to apply for a driver permit through the DMV

Homeschooled students must reside within the Kannapolis City Schools district to participate in Driver’s Education
Students must complete the classroom portion of Driver’s Education before moving to the next step
Coursework may be completed through Canvas, if available, or through provided class materials
Approximately 30 hours of classwork is required
Once all classwork is completed and submitted, students may continue to the next phase of Driver’s Education
